Domovinski pokret exits HDZ coalition in Croatia's Šibensko‑Kninska County

The regional branch of the Domovinski pokret (DP) announced its departure from the governing coalition with the HDZ, HDS and HSS in the Šibensko‑Kninska County assembly. DP councilor Boris Solomun said the move was caused by a lack of consultation, stating, “Da bi koalicija funkcionirala, potrebno je uvažavanje i konzultiranje pri donošenju odluka,” and listed ignored proposals on land allocation for large families, road paving in Žagroviću and kindergarten administration in Kistanje.

The exit reduces the coalition’s seats to 15 of 31, but county mayor Paško Rakić said the majority remains secure thanks to support from SDSS councillors and independents. DP will now evaluate each decision independently.
