Don Jaco Café Lounge Bar opens in San José de Ocoa

Don Jaco Café Lounge Bar has recently opened in the municipality of San José de Ocoa, contributing to a decade of growing business activity in the province. Owned by Johan Sem Peguero, the establishment aims to serve the increasing flow of local and international visitors to the region.

Located at the corner of Manuel de Regla Pujols and Luperón, the restaurant offers a diverse menu including meats, seafood, pasta, and various sandwiches, managed by chef Fernando Reyes. The beverage service is led by bartender Wardys Méndez, featuring natural cocktails such as Piña Colada.

The business currently employs 11 people, primarily youth, providing professional training and opportunities in a region where such jobs can be scarce. Plans are underway to expand service hours to include midday operations.
