Don Juan Tenorio productions scheduled in Badajoz and Santander

The classic play Don Juan Tenorio by José Zorrilla will be performed in two different Spanish productions this season.

In Badajoz, the company De Amarillo Producciones will present the work at the Teatro López de Ayala on November 1. Directed by Pedro A. Penco, the production features a cast including Guillermo Serrano as Don Juan Tenorio and Ana Batuecas as Doña Inés. The performance coincides with the All Saints Day holiday.

In Santander, the Cantabrian performing arts company Ruido Interno will stage Don Juan. Cenizas y sombras at the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria on October 31. Directed by Juan Carlos Fernández Izquierdo, this contemporary 50-minute adaptation utilizes artificial intelligence to digitally reconstruct five characters not physically present on stage, aiming to support the central narrative within a 1545 Seville setting.
