Don Luigi Merola meets with students in Anagni

Don Luigi Merola, a priest known for his anti-mafia activism, met with approximately 100 students at the Secondo Istituto Comprensivo in Anagni as part of a “Lessons in Legality” series.

During the meeting, Merola shared his experiences working in the Forcella district of Naples, where he spoke out against organized crime following the 2004 killing of 14-year-old Annalisa Durante. He discussed the work of his foundation, “‘A voce d’e creature,” which operates out of confiscated assets to provide support and training for youth from difficult backgrounds. Merola emphasized the possibility of social redemption, noting that many young people he has mentored have gone on to hold professional roles in institutions and companies.
