Don Quijote offers portable egg-style sauce for TKG enthusiasts

A specialized egg-style sauce from Don Quijote’s ‘Jonetsu Kakaku’ brand is gaining attention for its convenience and portability. The product, designed to mimic ‘Tamago Kake Gohan’ (TKG), features a two-layer structure containing both soy sauce and egg sauce in a single portion container that can be opened with one hand.

Because the sauce is shelf-stable at room temperature, it is marketed as an ideal option for bento boxes, camping, and outdoor activities where carrying fresh eggs would be difficult or unhygienic. Beyond rice, the sauce is used for various culinary applications, including topping toast, flavoring udon noodles, or serving as a dip for vegetables.
