Dona Pequenina school hosts Brazilian folklore cultural program
The CMEI Professora Jayr Luiza de Campos Untar, also known as Dona Pequenina, organized a pedagogical program focused on Brazilian folklore to promote cultural appreciation among young students. The initiative involved children aged 2 and 3 through immersive activities featuring traditional legends and artistic expressions from various regions of the country.
Educators utilized various tools, including music, puppets, stories, and games, to introduce iconic figures such as Saci-Pererê, Iara, Curupira, Cuca, Boitatá, and Boi-Bumbá. According to school director Lidiane Fernanda da Costa Oliveira, the project aimed to teach values like respect for diversity and nature preservation in an accessible way for the age group.
Maria Fernanda Figueiredo, the Secretary of Education, Culture, Sport, and Leisure, noted that these playful dynamics serve as a bridge to connect students with practical and social realities, transforming complex concepts into meaningful experiences.
