Donald Duke criticizes Tinubu administration economic policies

Donald Duke, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and former Governor of Cross River State, has criticized the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Duke argues that current policies, particularly the management of fuel subsidies, are impoverishing citizens and weakening the national economy while benefiting the government. He characterized the current subsidy arrangement as a poorly managed option that has replaced previous flawed systems without providing relief to the masses.

The PRP candidate stated that the administration appears unwilling to review these “anti-people policies” based on recent exchanges with opposition parties. Duke has called for a shift toward growth-oriented strategies that prioritize employment indices and income per capita over foreign reserves to better address widespread poverty.
