Donald Trump accused of mortgage fraud in 1990s

Reports indicate that Donald Trump engaged in mortgage fraud in the 1990s by claiming two different properties in Palm Beach, Florida, as his principal residences. In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a "Bermuda style" home, pledging it would be his primary residence. Seven weeks later, he secured another mortgage for a neighboring seven-bedroom property, also claiming it as his principal residence.

Records and interviews with his former real estate agent suggest that Trump, who was living in New York at the time, never resided in either property. Instead, the homes near his Mar-a-Lago estate were reportedly used as rental investment properties.

This revelation comes as the Trump administration aggressively pursues mortgage fraud allegations against political opponents. The White House has reportedly informed Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lisa Cook that the President is considering firing her over similar allegations. New York Attorney General Letitia James has also been accused by the administration of mortgage fraud.
