Donald Trump addresses Iran negotiations and cryptocurrency ethics
Donald Trump has stated that reaching an agreement with Iran has become more difficult due to the removal of much of the country’s leadership. In an interview with 77 WABC radio, Trump noted that the loss of key leaders makes it uncertain who is responsible for negotiations. He reiterated that the primary goal regarding Iran is to prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons, claiming that his 2018 withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal prevented Tehran from rapidly developing and using such weapons.
Separately, a Reuters/Ipsos poll indicates that a majority of Americans disapprove of the profits Donald Trump and his family have earned from cryptocurrency since his return to power. Approximately 63% of respondents viewed these earnings as improper, while 32% found them acceptable. The survey also found that 69% of Americans believe Trump’s personal business interests influence his official decisions.
While the White House has denied any wrongdoing, stating that Trump’s investments are managed by independent financial institutions, ethics experts have described the current intersection of business and politics as unprecedented compared to previous administrations.
