Donald Trump addresses protester at South Carolina rally
Donald Trump was briefly interrupted by a protester during a campaign rally at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in South Carolina. The incident occurred while Trump was campaigning for Republican Senator Darline Graham ahead of a Tuesday runoff election.
Trump addressed the disruption with a quip, stating, “That person’s going home to mom, gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us.” The protester was escorted out of the venue by security and staff.
During the rally, Trump urged supporters to vote for Graham, who is seeking a full six-year term following her appointment to complete the term of her late brother, Lindsey Graham. Graham is facing Rep. Ralph Norman in the GOP primary runoff; the winner will advance to the November election to face Democrat Annie Andrews.
