Donald Trump announces record U.S. defense production levels

President Donald Trump stated that the United States is producing advanced weaponry at unprecedented rates, with defense factories operating 24/7. According to reports shared on Truth Social, new large-scale manufacturing facilities are being established to support this surge in production.

Trump highlighted that the manufacturing focus includes Patriot missiles, THAAD systems, Tomahawk missiles, and other standard missile systems. He noted that these advanced weapons are being delivered daily to U.S. forces in the Middle East and other regions.

These comments follow reports regarding the depletion of U.S. missile stockpiles. Estimates from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) suggested that U.S. forces consumed approximately 60% of advanced defense missiles during the first five months of the conflict with Iran. Specifically, global stocks of Patriot and THAAD missiles reportedly fell from roughly 2,800 to 1,100 by the end of July. While the administration has not confirmed these specific figures, it has declined to characterize the situation as a shortage.
