Donald Trump approval rating hits record low in Fox News poll

President Donald Trump’s overall approval rating has fallen to 36%, marking the lowest level recorded during either of his presidencies, according to a Fox News poll conducted between October 9 and 12. The survey shows 64% of respondents disapprove of his performance, with significant dissatisfaction reported among voters under 45, non-white voters, households earning less than $50,000 annually, and those without a college degree.

Economic issues are driving the decline. Approximately 70% of respondents disapprove of his handling of the economy, and 69% disapprove of his tariff policies. Inflation remains a critical concern, with only 22% approving of his performance on the issue. Additionally, 80% of respondents in an AP-NORC survey expressed disapproval regarding the cost of living.

Other policy areas also face high disapproval ratings, including foreign policy (64%) and immigration (56%). Border security is the only major issue where opinions are evenly split, with 50% approval and 50% disapproval. The polling comes amid rising energy costs linked to the conflict with Iran and ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
