Donald Trump approval ratings decline among Republican base

Recent polling indicates a decline in approval ratings for Donald Trump, particularly among Republican and MAGA-aligned voters. A Financial Times/Focaldata poll reported a 33% approval rating, marking a low point since May. This decline is partially attributed to economic concerns, with 57% of voters stating they are financially worse off under his administration.

Data from an NBC News survey highlights a significant softening of support within the Republican base. Strong approval of Trump’s overall job performance among Republicans fell from 52% in the spring to 41%. Specifically, strong approval regarding his handling of the Iran war dropped 18 percentage points among Republicans to 30%, and fell 21 points among MAGA-aligned Republicans to 43%.

While broad Republican support remains relatively high, the intensity of enthusiasm has diminished. Nationally, 31% of Americans approve of his handling of the Iran conflict, while 69% disapprove.
