On Saturday, journalists from the three organizations were denied entry to the White House complex. Reports indicate that the U.S. Secret Service confiscated or deactivated the press credentials of several reporters, including those from MS NOW and Politico, during security checks.

The affected media outlets have responded by stating they will defend their First Amendment rights. CNN described the move as an ‘illegal assault’ on constitutional journalism, while MS NOW and Politico expressed their intent to take necessary legal steps to protect independent press roles. The three organizations have notified the administration of their intent to file a federal lawsuit.

The White House Correspondents' Association has called for the immediate restoration of access, warning that excluding media based on editorial content sets a dangerous precedent.
