Donald Trump called 'functionally a psychopath' by biographer

Presidential historian Seth Abramson, who has written extensively about Trump, described the former U.S. president as "functionally a psychopath" and warned that only Trump’s own mind restrains him. Abramson suggested that the 25th Amendment or impeachment should be considered, noting the president’s refusal to accept any external limits.

Biographer Michael Wolff recounted witnessing Trump’s angry outbursts over the 2020 election, describing "his eyes … kind of bulge, and you’re afraid" and calling the episode "craziness". Wolff said the deterioration in Trump’s behavior points to possible mental illness.
