Donald Trump campaigns in Ohio, criticizes Europe and endorses GOP candidates

During a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio, Donald Trump criticized Europe, stating, “We were a joke of a country, everyone laughed at us. Now Europe wants to copy us, everyone wants to copy us.”

Trump used the event to endorse Republican candidates, including Senator Jon Husted for a Senate seat and Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor. He emphasized the importance of voter turnout for the upcoming midterm elections, noting that Republican success is tied to high participation.

Addressing foreign policy, Trump defended his interactions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, questioning the logic of not getting along with leaders of nuclear powers. However, he simultaneously identified China as a threat to the American economy and advocated for local economic interests, such as the construction of data centers in Ohio, to prevent capital from flowing to China.
