Donald Trump claims to have settled eight wars in bid for Nobel Peace Prize

Donald Trump has asserted that he “settled eight wars,” a claim he uses to argue for the Nobel Peace Prize. While his administration received a 2020 White House citation for brokering the Abraham Accords, critics note that several of the conflicts he cites—including disputes involving India–Pakistan, Armenia–Azerbaijan, and the Gaza theater—were ongoing or intermittent rather than finalized war-ending agreements.

In correspondence regarding the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump also addressed territorial interests in Greenland, suggesting that the United States should seek “complete and total control” of the land, arguing that Denmark cannot protect it from Russia or China. He further claimed to have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding.
