Donald Trump reports US strikes destroyed Iranian military equipment

US President Donald Trump announced that recent intense military strikes against Iran have successfully destroyed new defensive and offensive equipment being installed along the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated that the operations have left Iran without radar capabilities and emphasized that the US maintains control over the strategic waterway. He noted that the primary objective of the offensive is to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Trump predicted that the military campaign would not be long-lived and dismissed concerns that the upcoming November midterm elections would influence US military strategy.

In response, Iran condemned the strikes as a ‘war crime,’ specifically citing the bombing of a wedding celebration. Tehran has vowed to retaliate using a new strategy aimed at destroying US foundations and has claimed responsibility for attacks against US allies in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, and the UAE. The escalation has caused oil prices to rise, with Brent crude exceeding $90 per barrel.
