Donald Trump comments on son's marriage during Ireland visit

During a visit to Dublin, Ireland, President Donald Trump remarked on the personal life of his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. Speaking to staff and diplomats at the US ambassador’s residence, Trump noted that his son has become a “different human being” and has “calmed down so much” since marrying Bettina Anderson in May.

Trump mentioned that he missed the wedding in the Bahamas due to escalating conflicts with Iran, describing the situation at the time as a “no-win position.” He also made light of First Lady Melania Trump’s decision to remain in Washington for a September 11 remembrance ceremony at the Pentagon, stating she was there “in spirit.”
