Donald Trump criticizes own economic communication efforts
During an event for Hispanic Heritage Month at the White House, Donald Trump admitted to having done a “pessimo lavoro” (terrible job) in communicating the country's economic successes to the public. He emphasized that while the administration has performed exceptionally well in governing, the message regarding economic prosperity has not been effectively conveyed.
Trump highlighted that the U.S. economy is performing better than any other country in the world, noting the creation of over one million private-sector jobs since his inauguration. He asserted that current employment levels are at a historic high. To address this perceived communication gap, he announced his intention to participate in nationwide electoral events over the coming month to support Republican candidates in the upcoming midterm elections.
Additionally, the President discussed ongoing restoration efforts at the White House. He described the building as being in “pessime condizioni” (terrible condition) prior to his intervention, noting that he felt an obligation to oversee improvements to the national symbol, including repairs to exterior walls.
