Donald Trump declared in excellent health after Walter Reed exam

A recent medical examination of U.S. President Donald Trump at the National Naval Medical Center Walter Reed was released by his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella. The report states that Trump’s heart, lungs and nervous system are functioning normally and his overall physical condition is “excellent.” Minor findings include slight swelling of the lower legs and benign bruises on his hands, which the doctor attributes to mild tissue irritation and aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.

The neuro‑psychological assessment showed a normal mental state, with Trump scoring a perfect 30 out of 30 on cognitive tests. At 79 years old, and set to turn 80 in June, Trump is described as fully capable of performing all duties of the commander‑in‑chief. He continues to take cholesterol‑lowering medication and has a history of chronic venous insufficiency, a non‑life‑threatening condition that causes poor circulation and leg swelling. Earlier scans, including a CT of the heart and abdomen, were reported as normal.

Trump publicly thanked the medical staff on his Truth Social account, emphasizing that the six‑month physical check‑up was “perfect.” The examination marks his third Walter Reed visit in the past 13 months.
