Donald Trump declares battle against leftist governments

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he has been “waiting and preparing for a long time” to confront governments he labeled as “communist.” He wrote that “the game has begun,” asserting that left‑wing regimes promise equality but ultimately lead to crime, poverty and violence, and he urged people to “enjoy” the political contest.

The remarks came days after Mexico’s President‑elect Claudia Sheinbaum accused the United States of planning to intervene in Mexico’s 2027 elections, citing the case of Sinaloa Governor Rubén Rocha Moya and the presence of U.S. agents in the country.
