During a press conference, Trump stated that the United States has assumed ‘total control’ over the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the naval blockade has crippled the Iranian economy and effectively ended the war.

Simultaneously, a diplomatic rift has emerged between the United States and Israel. The White House and the State Department officially rejected statements made by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who suggested that the Israeli military intends to maintain a permanent presence in security zones within Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. Washington has emphasized that all parties must adhere to the peace framework established in June, which mandates the phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon.
