Donald Trump endorses Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israeli elections

Donald Trump has issued a formal and unconditional endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the legislative elections scheduled for October 27. In a series of social media posts, Trump described Netanyahu as a “great warrior prime minister” and a vital partner in the ongoing conflict against Iran. Trump asserted that US and Israeli military actions since February have systematically destroyed Iran's military and financial capacities, including its nuclear capabilities.

Netanyahu responded to the endorsement by stating that he and Trump would work together to “complete the mission,” which Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz linked to the continued campaign against Iran. Trump also warned that if Netanyahu is not re-elected, the United States might be forced to manage the conflict with Iran independently.

In response to the heightened tensions, Iranian officials have issued warnings. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi noted that Iran remains prepared for further escalations, while Iranian Army Deputy Chief Alireza Sheikh stated the military is fully ready to respond to any threats. Additionally, Mohsen Rezaei indicated that Iran has developed a new, unconventional response plan for potential attacks.
