Donald Trump declines to prosecute Obama, Clinton, and Biden

President Donald Trump has announced his decision not to pursue criminal prosecutions against political rivals Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump stated that he chose not to act out of respect for the office of the presidency, noting that he believed it would be inappropriate to target these individuals.

This decision coincides with increasing legislative pressure regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files. Democrats have introduced legislation to force federal regulators to disclose financial records related to Epstein and his associates, while also requiring investigations into banks for potential legal violations. Major institutions previously linked to Epstein, including JP Morgan Chase & Co., Deutsche Bank AG, and Bank of America Corp, remain under scrutiny.

Despite efforts from the administration to manage the release of information, Trump signed a bill requiring the Justice Department to release the Epstein files following bipartisan pressure. Critics and political opponents have characterized the decision to forgo prosecutions as a strategic move related to the ongoing scrutiny of Epstein-related documents.
