Donald Trump signals cabinet changes amid Hegseth impeachment efforts

President Donald Trump has indicated that he may implement several changes to his cabinet following Republican losses in the midterm elections. During a CBS News interview, Trump stated that while he loves his current cabinet, he intends to make a few adjustments.

Trump addressed the status of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, stating that he still has confidence in him, though he declined to give Hegseth direct credit for the recent military operation in Venezuela. Hegseth is currently facing potential impeachment proceedings led by Democrats, which he has dismissed as political theater.

In a defiant speech at the Pentagon, Hegseth defended the administration’s military agenda, including reforms focused on combat readiness and the pursuit of peace through strength. He also defended military actions regarding Iran, describing them as necessary to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Additionally, Trump announced that Stephen Miller will replace Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff, effective November 9, following Wiles' resignation.
