Donald Trump denies profiting from presidency after report shows $2.2 billion crypto‑linked wealth rise

President Donald Trump told reporters at Andrews Air Force Base that his personal fortune grew because of a rising stock market, not because he used the office for private gain. A mandatory 2025 financial disclosure indicated his wealth increased by at least $2.2 billion, with roughly $1.4 billion attributed to family‑linked cryptocurrency ventures. Trump said his assets are managed by independent fiduciary funds and that he does not discuss his finances with the managers.

The White House rejected accusations of a conflict of interest, and the Office of Government Ethics released a document showing Trump received about $550 million from the family‑associated crypto platform World Liberty Financial and $635 million from a licensing deal for a cryptocurrency bearing his name. Trump reiterated that the market’s rise benefitted everyone and denied any personal oversight of his investments.
