Trump urges Israeli voters to re-elect Netanyahu

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a direct appeal to the Israeli electorate, urging them to re-elect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for October 27. In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump described Netanyahu as an “outstanding Warrior Prime Minister” and emphasized the need for the two leaders to “finish the job” regarding their joint military and political efforts against Iran.

Trump cited several military operations as evidence of their successful partnership, including Operation Midnight Hammer, which he claimed prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and Operation Epic Fury, which he asserted neutralized Iran’s navy and air force. He further claimed that a naval blockade has successfully restricted Iran’s oil supply and that the country’s economy is in shambles, citing an inflation rate of 301%.

Despite Trump’s public endorsement, reports indicate internal friction within the U.S. administration. Some advisors and officials, including Vice President JD Vance, have expressed disillusionment with Netanyahu’s handling of the conflict with Iran. Additionally, Israeli polling suggests Netanyahu’s coalition may struggle to secure a parliamentary majority, with some projections placing his bloc at approximately 50 seats.
