Donald Trump endorses Rhett Marques in Alabama's 2nd District

Donald Trump has renewed his “Complete and Total Endorsement” for Alabama State Representative Rhett Marques (R-Enterprise) in the race for the state’s 2nd Congressional District. Trump described Marques as an “America First Patriot” and a highly respected businessman and civic leader.

During the endorsement, Trump criticized Democratic opponent Shomari Figures (D-Mobile), labeling him “Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous.” Trump specifically targeted Figures for his July 2025 vote against a legislative bill that included tax breaks on tips, overtime, and Social Security income. Trump claimed that if Figures were elected, such tax policies would be terminated in favor of massive tax increases.
