Donald Trump engaged in over 1,000 stock trades in June

Records from the Office of Government Ethics reveal that Donald Trump engaged in over 1,000 individual stock trades during the month of June. While the filings provide price ranges rather than exact values, they highlight significant activity across various sectors.

One of the largest single transactions was a sale of a Vanguard ETF on June 22, valued between $5 million and $25 million. Other notable trades included purchases of Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, and Cintas, each valued between $1 million and $5 million. The filings also show frequent trading in Palantir, with both sales and multiple smaller purchases.

In the technology sector, transactions involved major companies including Meta, Broadcom, Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia. Additionally, Trump purchased SpaceX shares valued between $15,001 and $50,000 on June 23, shortly after its initial public offering.

While the White House has previously maintained that Trump’s finances were placed in a ‘blind trust’ upon taking office, questions remain regarding the exact level of control exercised over these specific stock transactions.
