Donald Trump expresses regret over Supreme Court appointments

President Donald Trump stated in an interview with TIME Magazine that he regrets nominating Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Trump expressed frustration that the justices have ruled against his administration on several significant issues, including emergency tariff programs, mail-in voting regulations, and an executive order regarding birthright citizenship.

Trump noted that while the justices have occasionally ruled in his favor, they have “voted against me too often.” Regarding the Court's decision to strike down his executive order on birthright citizenship—which the Court ruled violated the 14th Amendment—Trump characterized the outcome as “unfortunate” and damaging to the country. He also criticized the Court's handling of mail-in voting rules, describing the situation as a “disaster.”
