Donald Trump insults Reuters reporter over physical appearance

Donald Trump has repeatedly targeted Reuters White House correspondent Jacob Bogage, mocking the reporter's weight and physical appearance. The confrontation began during a tarmac exchange near Air Force One when Bogage asked if the cancellation of a campaign stop in Kansas was due to travel fatigue or health concerns.

During the exchange, Trump described the reporter as “disgusting” and told him to “put yourself in shape” and “look at how badly” he was in shape. Trump also characterized Reuters as a “terrible” news organization. Following the incident, Trump posted a photo of Bogage on Truth Social, reiterating that the reporter “looks like hell.”

Trump clarified that his decision to skip the Kansas event was not due to illness, stating, “I don’t feel I have to go to Kansas.” He noted plans to hold a virtual tele-rally instead of the originally planned in-person appearance for Senator Roger Marshall.
