Donald Trump hails strong May jobs growth and vows to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions

U.S. President Donald Trump told a gathering in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, that May added 172,000 jobs—far above economists’ estimate of 30,000—and marked the third consecutive month of stronger‑than‑expected employment. He highlighted gains of 7,000 manufacturing and 17,000 construction jobs and said the U.S. has secured $18 trillion in investment pledges and wage increases of over 8 % in manufacturing.

Trump used the occasion to criticize the Federal Reserve, arguing that economic growth, not tight monetary policy, is the best way to tame inflation and that the Fed’s stance is hurting the stock market. He praised the administration’s trade, energy and tax policies for fueling the labor market.

On Iran, Trump said negotiations are ongoing but the United States will ensure Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon, stating the goal will be achieved “one way or another,” and warned that the U.S. can win either through diplomatic agreements or military force. He likened the potential outcome to past deals under the Obama administration and underscored America’s military strength.
