Donald Trump logs more than 22,000 stock transactions in 2025

President Donald Trump, age 80, reported over 22,000 stock trades in 2025, according to a Financial Times analysis. That averages more than 60 purchases or sales per day and dwarfs the 13 transactions recorded by his predecessor Joe Biden over four years and the 517 trades Trump made during his first term.

The White House says the trades are executed by managers, not the president himself, but the volume has raised ethical questions. Critics point to the timing of trades around tariff announcements that moved markets, and to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s purchases of large‑cap stocks and sale of U.S. Treasuries near the same events. Democrats have called for investigations into possible insider information.

Trump also earned more than $1 billion from cryptocurrency‑related activities in the past year, including $500 million from World Liberty Financial and $635 million from licensing meme‑coin brands. His administration is pursuing a Bitcoin‑friendly regulatory agenda, further intensifying scrutiny of the overlap between his public duties and private investments.
