Emory Jones receives presidential pardon from Donald Trump
President Donald Trump has granted clemency to Emory Jones, a close associate of the rapper Jay-Z. The pardon was announced by White House Pardon Czar Alice Marie Johnson, who stated that 30 individuals were pardoned following a careful review of their cases.
Jones, who is a co-founder of the clothing line Paper Planes and Head of Lifestyle at Roc Nation, previously served nearly 16 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a cocaine distribution conspiracy in 1997. Johnson highlighted Jones as an entrepreneur and creative leader who has demonstrated significant personal growth since his release from prison in 2016.
