Donald Trump pardons PGA caddie Eric Larson

President Donald Trump has granted a full and unconditional pardon to PGA Tour caddie Eric Larson. The pardon addresses a 1995 federal conviction for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, for which Larson served approximately 11 years in prison.

The conviction had previously prevented Larson from traveling to the United Kingdom due to changes in British immigration laws regarding electronic authorization for travelers. This restriction forced Larson to miss the 2025 British Open, where he would have been able to caddie for American golfer Harris English. English finished second in that tournament, earning $1.8 million, a performance that would have typically resulted in a significant commission for Larson.

With the pardon, Larson is expected to be able to travel with English to future international tournaments, including the Scottish Open and the British Open. English expressed his support for the decision, stating he was pleased that Larson would have his rights restored and could work alongside him again.
