U.S. President Donald Trump uploaded an artificial‑intelligence‑generated video to his Truth Social platform in which he appears dressed as a doctor treating Hollywood celebrities with a fabricated “Trump derangement syndrome.” The clip uses deep‑fake faces and voices of actors such as Robert De Niro, Whoopi Goldberg, Edward Norton and Julia Roberts, who in the video claim to be cured after “treatment” by “Dr. Trump.” The post follows a series of similar AI‑generated montages the president has shared, including a controversial image of himself portrayed as Jesus and other satirical depictions of political opponents.

In separate remarks to CNBC, Trump claimed the United States remains the global leader in artificial intelligence, arguing that maintaining this edge is more consequential than the rise of the internet. He warned that China could overtake the U.S. without a “dramatic increase” in electricity production, saying the country must “double the energy” for the AI industry. Trump also linked AI leadership to broader technology strategies, citing domestic semiconductor manufacturing growth and suggesting minimal regulation of AI to preserve competitiveness.
