Donald Trump promotes $5,000 dividend at Georgia rally

During a campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia, on October 16, Donald Trump promoted his proposed ‘Trump dividend’ and criticized Democratic opponents. Trump stated that if Republicans win control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, he intends to provide all adult citizens in the United States with a $5,000 payment, provided the funds are spent within the country.

Trump joked that the $5,000 windfall would only cover a hamburger and a small dessert at his Mar-a-Lago club. He also dismissed the concept of ‘affordability’ as a term ‘made up by the Democrats.’

In addition to economic proposals, Trump targeted Senator Jon Ossoff, mocking his appearance and claiming the senator spends excessive amounts on makeup. Trump also supported Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins, describing him as a ‘good-looking man’ with a ‘strong build.’
