Donald Trump reports $1.4 billion crypto earnings as brand royalties total $8.5 million
U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed that his family earned more than $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency and related digital‑asset ventures in the 2025 reporting year. The bulk of the income came from the “TRUMP” meme coin, which generated about $636 million, and from World Liberty Financial, a company in which the Trumps retain a 60 % stake and which derives roughly 75 % of its revenue from its native tokens.
In a CNBC interview, Trump defended the gains, saying he does not manage day‑to‑day investment decisions and that his involvement poses no conflict of interest. Ethics watchdogs, however, warned that the scale of the holdings could influence policy.
Separate figures from the same financial‑disclosure filing show the Trump brand earned $8,543,266 in royalties and licensing fees from products such as Trump Watches, the Greenwood Bible, several books, sneakers, fragrances and a “45” guitar. The disclosure arrived as U.S. households faced rising food, rent and energy costs.
The combined disclosures have renewed scrutiny of Trump’s financial interests while he remains in office.
