Donald Trump reports more than $1 billion in crypto‑related earnings

U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed that his 2023 financial disclosures show over $1 billion in income, largely derived from cryptocurrency activities. The filings indicate roughly $635 million in royalties from a family‑linked meme‑coin, more than $500 million from token sales tied to World Liberty Financial, and additional gains from real‑estate, legal settlements and stock holdings.

Trump told reporters he does not manage the assets himself and rejected accusations of a conflict of interest, saying independent managers handle his money. Democratic lawmakers, including Senator Elizabeth Warren, have called for legislation to bar the president and his family from profiting from the crypto sector.

The disclosures also list sizable legal‑settlement payments, including about $24.5 million from Meta and $16 million from Paramount and Disney, as well as investments in major U.S. tech firms such as Amazon, Meta, Nvidia and Tesla.
