Donald Trump shares fake quote attributed to Denzel Washington

Donald Trump shared a fabricated quote on social media falsely attributing praise to actor Denzel Washington. The quote claimed Washington described Trump as a ‘great friend and an even better president’ and a steadfast supporter.

Fact-checking indicates that this specific quote has appeared previously on social media, having been falsely attributed to other figures such as Matthew McConaughey and Mick Jagger.
