Donald Trump suggests renaming Strait of Hormuz amid U.S.-Iran maritime conflict
Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated following a series of military actions and provocative statements from President Donald Trump. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that American forces attacked three Iranian oil tankers near Kharg Island in response to ballistic missile launches by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeting U.S. warships.
