Donald Trump to visit Ireland for Irish Open

President Donald Trump is scheduled to arrive in Ireland on September 12th to attend the Irish Open. His arrival via Air Force One at Dublin Airport will be followed by a meeting with Taoiseach Micheál Martin at Farmleigh House.

During the visit, the President is expected to view the site of the planned American embassy in Ballsbridge before traveling to Doonbeg, County Clare. There, he will visit his branded golf course to present the trophy to the winner of the competition.

As the trip is not a formal state visit, there are no scheduled meetings with the Oireachtas. It remains uncertain if he will meet with President Catherine Connolly, who has indicated she would consider such a request.
