Donald Trump to visit Ireland in September for Irish Open

The itinerary includes a stop in County Clare to attend the Irish Open at his Trump International Golf Links and Hotel near Doonbeg, as well as a visit to Dublin, though many details remain unfinalised.

During his 2023 trip, Trump was warmly received in Doonbeg, while his 2019 visit as a sitting president sparked protests from climate, pro‑Palestine, pro‑choice and anti‑war activists. The most recent sitting U.S. president to visit Ireland was Joe Biden in 2023, marking the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.
