Donald Trump votes by mail in Florida Republican primary

President Donald Trump cast a mail-in ballot for the Florida Republican primary, marking the second time he has used this method in the state this year. This action comes despite his frequent public criticism of mail-in voting, which he has characterized as “corrupt,” “cheating,” and a “scam” vulnerable to fraud.

White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales defended the move, calling it a “non-story.” She explained that while the administration opposes universal mail-in voting, the proposed SAVE America Act includes exceptions for individuals dealing with illness, disability, military service, or travel. The White House noted that while Trump is a resident of Palm Beach, he primarily resides at the White House in Washington, D.C.

The president continues to push for the passage of the SAVE America Act, which would implement stricter requirements for mail-in ballots, including voter ID and proof of citizenship. Simultaneously, the administration is seeking Supreme Court intervention to expand federal oversight of mail-in voting processes ahead of the November midterm elections.
