Donald Trump vows to use all US power to prevent another 9/11-style attack

During a commemorative event marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, President Donald Trump stated that the United States will use “all its power” to prevent a similar terrorist incident from occurring again. The ceremony, held at The Ellipse near the White House and organized by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, featured the exhibition of a six-meter steel beam from the World Trade Center as part of the “Steel Across America” tour.

Trump used the occasion to address national security and foreign policy, asserting that the United States is currently engaged in a struggle to ensure that Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon. He also drew parallels between the resilience shown after 9/11 and current geopolitical tensions.

Controversy has emerged regarding Trump’s personal accounts of the day. He claimed to have led a construction workforce to Ground Zero immediately following the attacks and described being evacuated by firefighters. However, critics, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, have challenged these assertions, noting that archival records and media reports place Trump at his office in Trump Tower during the attacks, miles away from the site.
