Donald Trump’s 2025 crypto earnings total $1.4 billion

A US Office of Government Ethics filing released on June 30 2026 shows that former President Donald Trump’s $2 billion reported wealth increase for 2025 was driven largely by cryptocurrency. More than $1.4 billion of the gain came from crypto‑related activities, chiefly through the family‑owned firm World Liberty Financial, which generated roughly $800 million—including $520 million from token sales and $250 million from selling interests in the business. Additional licensing fees from “Celebration Coins” added about $635 million. The filing listed roughly $400 million from other sources such as real estate, legal settlements, overseas licensing agreements and merchandise.

The disclosure challenges Trump’s public claim that his windfall was the result of a rising stock market, indicating that two‑thirds to 80 % of the 2025 gains were unrelated to equities. Officials noted the crypto earnings moved through channels with limited public oversight, underscoring concerns about transparency and potential conflicts of interest.
