Donald Trump’s childhood home in Queens sells for $1.93 million

Donald Trump’s childhood home in Jamaica Estates, Queens, has sold for $1.93 million following an extensive eight-month renovation. The Tudor-style residence, built in 1940 by Fred Trump, is where the current U.S. President lived until the age of four.

The property was sold by developer Tommy Lin, who had purchased the home for $835,000 last year. Before the sale, the house had fallen into significant disrepair, suffering from water damage, mold, and a colony of feral cats due to a burst pipe and years of vacancy. Lin invested approximately $500,000 in a gut renovation that added modern amenities, including a chef’s kitchen, herringbone wood floors, and spa-like bathrooms.

The home has seen several ownership changes in recent years. In 2017, it was sold for $2.14 million to an entity called Trump Birth Home LLC and was briefly listed on Airbnb with Trump-themed memorabilia. It was later relisted in 2019 for $2.9 million but remained unsold until the recent transaction. The identity of the new buyer has not been disclosed.
