Donald Trump's comments on Jon Husted's physique spark reaction in Ohio

During a recent rally in Kentucky, President Donald Trump commented on the physical appearance of Ohio Senator Jon Husted, praising his muscular build and athletic background. Trump noted that Husted, a former University of Dayton football player, possessed a physique that felt “like a piece of steel” when patted on the shoulder.

At a Republican gathering in Darke County, Ohio, Husted addressed the remarks with humor, acknowledging that the President had been discussing him in the context of being a football player. The comments have become a point of discussion among local GOP members as they prepare for the upcoming election against Democrat Sherrod Brown.

Other Republican figures in Ohio have reacted to the remarks. Senator Bernie Moreno made a direct reference to the President’s commentary, stating, “Unlike the president of the United States, I will not comment on his anatomy,” while affirming Husted’s effectiveness as a senator.
