Donald Trump's Hand Swelling Sparks New Health Speculation

New photographs taken on August 3 at a White House event show President Donald Trump’s hands appearing swollen, discoloured and heavily made‑up. The images, shared widely on social media, have reignited online speculation about the president’s health, with commentators comparing the appearance to bruising, sun damage or other conditions. Trump, who turned 80 in June, has previously addressed similar concerns, attributing bruising to a high daily dose of aspirin. A White House physician’s memorandum dated July 17, 2025, noted chronic venous insufficiency in Trump’s lower legs but offered no explanation for the hand markings. No medical evidence has been presented to confirm any underlying issue, and officials have reiterated that the president remains active in his duties.
